IT AIN'T OVER YET. OK... here is the whole story. On Tues, May 1, came a knock at the door. The couple that had been looking at the building where we live came to announce that they had bought the place and, to make a long story short, said we had 30 days to move.. so we began to search German Village for a new location... craigslist was a great place to search, btw..
and we found a townhouse around the corner. And as the owner was showing me the townhouse, I noticed a complete house for rent across the alley.. for $5 bucks more than we were paying. So I called the rental agency, left an application and arranged for an appointment. Turns out the house was too small and in bad shape and behind a major restaurant, Lindey's, that had a noisy patio.. The guy showing us the house mentioned another location that was about to come onto the market, the guy had moved out the week before. I asked where it was, and he said,"City Park Ave." YOU'RE KIDDING! I said.. it was across the street! So we asked him to show us that place and sure enough.. it is a cute little house with it's own driveway and garage.. and we could afford it.. so we are going to sign the lease Tuesday and move across the street AGAIN! So after I vote on the cover contest, I probably will be gone for a week or two while I transfer the account to the new address...
